HISTORY of EKSPLORIUM
EKSPLORIUM was first published in February 1979, under the name "EXPLORIUM" Bulletin of the Directorate of Geological Survey (DSG) - National Atomic Energy Agency (BATAN). This bulletin is published every month to publish and disseminate information about DSG's internal activities with limited dissemination in BATAN.
In 1980, the name was changed from "EXPLORIUM" to "EKSPLORIUM" to further refine the use of Indonesian language. At the same time, DSG-BATAN also changed its name to the Center for Exploration and Processing of Nuclear Minerals (PEPBN)-BATAN. By publishing every month, the content of EKSPLORIUM is increasing both in terms of appearance, number of pages and in this issue has contained scientific articles on the results of research carried out at PEPBN-BATAN.
In August 1992, EKSPLORIUM was officially registered for the first time at PDII LIPI with the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) 0854-1418 In August 1992, EKSPLORIUM was officially registered for the first time at PDII LIPI with the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) 0854-1418 which is the printed ISSN number (p-ISSN) used to date. Since this publication, EKSPLORIUM which was originally published every month then changed its frequency to a quarterly bulletin or four times a year. At that time PEPBN had changed its name to the Center for the Nuclear Minerals Development (PPBGN)-BATAN, so it was then registered as EKSPLORIUM: Bulletin of the Center for Nuclear Minerals Development. In this publication, scientifically, it has been much improved by containing a minimum of three main articles which are the results of research and three articles from adaptations, or literature reviews.
In 2011 EKSPLORIUM, received LIPI accreditation for the first time with LIPI Accreditation number No. 352/Akred-LIPI/P2MBI/07/2011 which is valid until July 2013. EKSPLORIUM is published every 6 months (twice a year), containing 5 (five) articles in for each issue.
In 2013 EKSPLORIUM was re-accredited with number 541/AU1/P2MI-LIPI/06/2013 which is valid until July 2016. In April 2016 EKSPLORIUM received an ISSN number for scientific periodicals with online media (e-ISSN) with the number 2503-426X, and henceforth EKSPLORIUM publications can be accessed online at: http://jurnal.batan.go.id/index.php/eksplorium.
On September 22, 2016, EKSPLORIUM received its third accreditation from LIPI with LIPI accreditation number LIPI No.749/AU2/P2MI-LIPI/08/2016. This accreditation is valid until July 2021.
On December 9, 2021, EKSPLORIUM received its fourth accreditation from ARJUNA as a SINTA 2 category journal based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology number 158/E/KPT/2021. This accreditation is valid until July 2026.
Starting in 2022, the management of EKSPLORIUM was transferred from the former Center for Nuclear Minerals Technology-BATAN to the Directorate of Repository, Multimedia, and Scientific Publications-BRIN.
