KETAHANAN PANAS PADUAN ALUMINIUM SEBAGAI BAHAN KONSTRUKSI

The analysis of aluminum alloy for boarding ways, curtain laboratory in nuclear activity, several laboratory, and others, after fire resistance test was investigated. Aim of this test is to understand short aluminum alloys resist to the fire. A rolling door material by a local product is used as a sample in these experiment. The experiment method was investigated according to NFPA417: Standard on construction and protection of aircraft loading walkways 1985 edition, where the sample is suddenly heated by 650°C temperature. The visual activity was carried out for physics observation, and mechanical characteristic was observed by cutting of the samples in which before. and after fire
resistance test. The microstructure was investigated by Scanning Electron microscope, that analysis for structure and composition of surfaces were understood
. Result of these observation show that sample color were change firm white to brown, mechanical characteristic were change from tough to brittle, but the samples shape as a construction material and surface microstructure relative constant conclusion of these experiment is that the sample resistance to fire test to it suitable for construction material.

Telah dilakukan analisa paduan aluminium untuk bahan konstruksi boarding ways, sekat pada laboratorium bidang nuklir maupun laboratorium yang lain atau sejenis, setelah dilakukan fire test. Kegiatan ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui kemampuan bahan tersebut terhadap pengaruh suhu akibat kebakaran (fire resistance). Bahan paduan aluminium berupa lembaran yang digunakan sebagai rolling-door, produksi loka/. Metoda pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan suhu pada sampel setinggi sekitar eso«: secara mendadak, sesuai dengan standar NFPA 417: Standard on
Construction and Protection of Aircraft Loading Walkways, edisi
1985. Pengamatan fisik dilakukan secara visual, dan pengamatan sifat mekaniknya dilakukan dengan memotong sampel sebelum dan sesudah dipanasi, perubahan struktur mikro dianalisa dengan
Scanning Electron Microscope dan perubahan komposisi kimia permukaan dianalisa dengan Energy Diffraction X-ray
. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan adanya perubahan warna sampel dari putih ke coklat, sifat mekanis berubah dari liat menjadi getas (brit/e),
namun bentuk fisik dan struktur mikro relatif tetap
. Dari hasil uji ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa paduan aluminium tahan terhadap uji kebakaran dan layak digunakan sebagai bahan konstruksi.
