ABSTRAK

DESAIN KONSEP SISTEM INSTRUMENTASI DAN KENDALI PADA INSTALASI IRADIATOR GAMMA IR-200K. Desain konsep sistem instrumentasi dan kendali untuk instalasi iradiator gamma IR-200K dibahas dalam makalah ini. IR-200K adalah instalasi panoramic iradiator gamma tipe kolam kategori-IV. Desain konsep ini dibuat mengacu pada persyaratan operasi instalasi iradiator gamma serta literatur tentang instrumentasi & kendali untuk iradiator gamma. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) menjadi pusat pengendali proses iradiasi dan keselamatannya yang mendapat masukan dari sistem deteksi. Length to Pulse Converter (LPC) digunakan untuk memonitor posisi sumber radiasi maupun gerakan carrier di ruang iradiasi. Semua masukan diproses untuk proses iradiasi dan keselamatan secara melekat. 

Kata kunci : instrumentasi, kendali, panoramic iradiator, iradiator gamma, konsep desain.

 

ABSTRACT

 A CONCEPTUAL DESIGN OF INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR GAMMA IRRADIATOR IR-200K. A conceptual design of instrumentation and control for gamma irradiator IR-200K is discussed in this paper. IR-200K is a panoramic gamma irradiator pond type of category-IV. The conceptual design is made based on the operational requirement of gamma irradiator as well as other references on instrumentation and control for gamma irradiator. A  Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) becomes the central of the controller for both irradiation process and its safety which has inputs from detection system. Length to Pulse Converter (LPC) is used for monitoring of radiation source and the movement of carriers inside the irradiation room. All the inputs are to be processed for irradiation process and safety operation inherently.
