ABSTRAK
PERHITUNGAN DAN PEMILIHAN POMPA UNTUK INSTALASI PENGOLAHAN AIR BEBAS MINERAL PADA IRADIATOR GAMMA 200 kCi. Telah dilakukan perhitungan dan pemilihan pompa pada instalasi pengolahan air bebas mineral irradiator gamma kapasitas 200 kCi. Pompa diperlukan untuk mengalirkan air bebas mineral. Metode perhitungan didasarkan pada tahapan perhitungan diameter pipa dan kecepatan alir, kehilangan tekanan karena gesekan dalam pipa, fitting dan tabung-tabung filter, head pompa dan net positive suction head. Kapasitas pengolahan air bebas mineral dirancang dengan kapasitas 3 m3/jam atau setara dengan 50 liter/menit. Dari hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil: diameter pipa 25 mm, friction loss pipa dan peralatan 1,18 m, NPSHA hasil perhitungan 7,05 m, dan head total pompa 33,1 m. Pompa yang dipakai adalah jenis sentrifugal yang mempunyai NPHSR lebih kecil dari nilai NPSHA. Dari perhitungan diperoleh daya pompa 0,592 HP, daya listrik 436 Watt, dengan faktor keamanan 1,2. Maka dengan melihat head total pompa, NPSHA, dan daya pompa serta kapasitas atau debit pompa dipilih pompa Lowara type 2HM5 dengan spesifikasi daya 0,6 HP, daya listrik 550 Watt, tegangan input 220V/AC satu phase, dan jenis motor kapasitor.

ABSTRACT
THE PUMP CALCULATION AND SELECTION FOR THE DEMINERALIZED WATER TREATMENT PLANT IN 200 kCi GAMMA IRRADIATOR. The pump calculation and selection for the demineralized water treatment plant was performed. The plant is a part of the 200 kCi gamma irradiator. A pump is needed to flow demineral water. The method of calculation is based on pipe diameter calculation and its flow rate, pressure drop due to the friction in pipes, in fittings and in tube filter, pump head and the net positive suction head. The capacity of the demineralized water treatment plant is designed at 3 m3/jam equivalent to 50 liters/min. The results are: 25 mm of iameter pipe, 1.18 m of friction loss due to pipe and its equipment, 7.05 m of NPSHA and 33.1 of the total head the pump. The pump is centrifugal model having the NPHSR value less than the NPSHA one. The calculation obtained a pump power at 0.592 hp or 436 Watt electric power, with the safety factor of 1.2. By considering the pump total head, the NPSHA, the power consumption, and the discharge capacity, it is decided to use Lowara pump type 2HM5. Its specifications are 0.6 HP of power, 550 Watt of power consumption, input voltage at 220V/AC, 50 Hz, 1 phase, and the motor is capacitor type.
